US American Cup Trio- Difficulty Score Breakdowns
Here’s a little Pre-American Cup breakdown. The US girls look fantastic in New York. Here are all of their difficulty scores.
If something was clearly supposed to be connected, I gave it to them. If they ran instead of doing a tumbling pass, I used the pass that they usually compete. Some scores use a combination that was video taped, but not in the routine. Some use combinations mentioned by Blythe. This is just to get a general idea of what to expect tomorrow. There also may be one or two calculation errors, but I did try to double check all of these.

And the winner is… Gabrielle Douglas, followed by Jordyn Wieber and Alexandra Raisman (tie). Raisman had more questionable bonus than Wieber. Moral of the story: It is a virtual tie at the top!
I think when it comes down to compitition ready and day of meet and London Jordyn and Kyla will beat out gabby and aly. It counts on day of compition.
Gabby looks really good! especially her beam and bars set.
Aly’s bars is SO improved! I believe that execution will be the factor and here, we have head strong Jordyn and Aly against 50/50 Gabby (never know if you’ll get nervous gabby or confident gabby). In the end, I believe all three will be in London. They’re Martha’s favorites.
Wow, Gabby looks great, great amanar, great bar routine and GREAT beam routine, and a very good floor. Lookls like Chow had done a lot to build her confidence, I really hope she’s going to be one of the USA all arounders in the Olympics
Thank you for your breakdown! Can you tell me why aly replaced the front tuck with a front layout after her double Arabian in her fx 1st pass? The cv is the same 0.2 doe either EA or EB combination, but layout is obviously more difficult than tuck, and she landed out of bounds.
Yeah, I honestly don’t see that combo working for her with OOBs, but I said the same with the front tuck.
She replaced it because she is also working on dos santos punch front, which is .2 CV. However, I think that it probably would be a better idea to just work on consistently jumping out of the dos santos and leaving the first pass the way it was. Not as exciting, but score wise, it’s not a bad idea.
Okay, just saw her competition routine and she landed in bounds, so maybe it will work. I still think it’s kind of silly do do all of that for a tenth.
Maroney better start working her butt off if she wants to make that team now! They barely even need her anymore for vault, and she didn’t help much anywheres else.
